I ask for so little. Just fear me, love me, do as I say and I will be your slave.

I went in today to get my left foot checked out cuz it was hurting more and more since I slipped at work last thursday.  I go in and talk to this doctor and as I'm trying to tell her what's goin on with me, where it hurts, what it feels like, she keeps cutting me off.  I try to tell her that my toes and the side of my foot keeps going NUMB, but does she listen? No, of course not.  Know why?  Because she's a workman's comp doctor.  She orders xrays of my foot, looks at them and tells me its not broken... no shit sherlock, I coulda told you that and I didn't have to go to school for years to figure it out!  She doesn't even tell me exactly what she's decided is wrong with my foot, she just writes it down and tells me that I can go back to work, but I'll have to have a sit down job and do I want crutches?  No, I don't want freaking crutches, I want to know what's wrong with me you stupid bitch!  She tells me to take ibuprofin for the pain and that if it hurts when I get home from work, I can ice it for 10 minutes TOPS.  Okay, fine, advil and ice, no big deal there.  She then tells me to hobble my ass all the way across the building to physical therapy and set up an appointment with them before I come back to see her next week.  As I'm slowly making my way down there, I look at my paperwork which says "Sprained left foot.  Sit down jobs only."  Okay, fine, why couldn't you TELL me what it was you'd decided without listening to anything I was saying to you?  She also told me to go buy new shoes that will give good support but wont hit the top of my left foot... what am I gonna wear, flip flops?!  Good god woman... can we say DUH... its gonna be pretty hard to find a tennis shoe that won't touch the top of my foot!  So now, I have physical therapy to go to on Monday afternoon, and I have to go back and see her stupid ass on Tuesday... now, what I don't get is how a sprain makes my toes and the side of my foot go numb.. wouldn't you figure that as some kind of pinched or damaged nerve?!  What the hell good is a doctor who won't listen to anything you goddamned say?!  I hate workman's comp doctors... all they care about is saving the insurance company some money, they couldn't care less what the hell's wrong with the patient 9 times out of 10!  And now I get to deal with her more!  This oughta be fucking fun...
